Thank you for registering for the Pandemic Response Hackathon! We now have over 400 people signed up to participate, and are thrilled to share that the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), the American Public Health Association (APHA), Snowflake, Komodo Health, Prognos Health, Immuta, MapBox, Closedloop.ai, and NextGate will be co-hosting the event.
The hackathon will officially kick off on March 27th, though you’re welcome to get projects started in the meantime.
Here’s what you can do to prepare:
To get the brainstorming started, we’ve combined and curated the suggestions we’ve received into various project ideas. If you haven’t already, check out the sample of project ideas showcased on the hackathon website! We continue to receive dozens of suggestions every day, and we’ll be sharing a longer list later today, so stay tuned.
Invite Your Friends
Spread the word and invite others in your network to participate!
Join the Conversation
Make sure to join our Slack channel, where participants are introducing themselves and chatting about the projects they’re excited to work on. This is a great place to find people to team up with, continue brainstorming, and get projects underway. Over the course of the week, we’ll be breaking out channels for each project. If you’re having trouble finding teammates, please drop us a note in the #find-teammates channel.
Volunteer as a Track SME
If you’d like to volunteer as a subject matter expert (SME) for one of the tracks (holding office hours and advising across projects), please email us at email@example.com.
Review Rules & Guidelines
You’ll find the hackathon rules on our Devpost page. We recommend registering through Devpost as well; as the hackathon gets underway, we’ll be using this platform to aggregate resources, post announcements, and collect project submissions.
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll be sharing additional details over the course of the week. In the meantime, thank you all, and we look forward to hacking with all of you starting this Friday! #hackCOVID19
